God sees you momma
When you’re in the middle of Thanksgiving preparations no one else will see.
When you’re driving home from work to pick up kids and don’t turn on the radio just to get to have a little quiet in your day.
When you’re really tired from a long day but your teenager wants you to sit with them while they finish homework.
When you don’t understand the rules to a new made-up game from your kiddo, your mind is racing with all the things you need to do but you pause to listen to her because you sense the Holy Spirit calming your momma heart with the opportunity.
When your grandchildren or adult children are estranged, leaving your heart broken.
In scripture, when The Lord wanted to meet the men, He called them away to the mountains but not women. Women couldn’t leave their babies, meals had to be cooked, and fires for the homes had to be tended. There weren’t opportunities for them to leave the home.
(SIDE NOTE ………… I’m NOT short changing the guys here. I believe the Lord speaks to men AND women right where they are. Back in Bible times, most of the time, men were out of the home working, hunting and providing for their families. So, it makes sense, he called them to the mountains. I’m also NOT saying that men don’t have responsibilities in the home. The ones that DO show up every day for their wives and families are cherished and I know the Lord honors your commitment to them.)
What I am saying, is that in all of the examples referenced in scripture, God came to the women where ever they were at and in whatever task/season they were in. He knows the burdens we carry in our minds, hearts and shoulders. The ordinary places. Like the kitchen, workplace, or bedtimes.
· The women at the well – Jesus met her there.
· The women at the empty tomb – Jesus met them there.
· The woman with the issue of blood – Jesus met her in the street.
Those moments we think of what seems like monotonous, you are STILL being treasured, loved and respected by the King of Kings and lover of your soul.
Rest in the truth that God will:
· Meet you at your well.
· Heal you.
· Trust you with things.
· Has made you in HIS image, made you strong, resilient, beautiful and powerful.
· You are worth of good things.
Rest knowing He’s got you where you need to be this holiday season.
Take care of you this week too momma, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
