The Heritage Festival has been a cherished tradition in Santa Fe since its founding in 1972 by the Jaycees. After a brief pause in the early ’80s, it was revived in 1992 by the Santa Fe Senior Citizens Council, with proceeds helping fund the construction of the Thelma Weber Community Center. In the decades since, the festival has been hosted by several dedicated community groups—including the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce and a coalition of five local nonprofits—each keeping the spirit of Santa Fe’s history and hospitality alive.
